Το ερευνητικό έργο επικεντρώνεται στις αιτιοκρατικές-πιθανοκρατικές προβλέψεις, στην αξιολόγηση κινδύνων και στην επαλήθευση των ατμοσφαιρικών μοντέλων. Θεματικά, οι εργασίες εμπίπτουν στις ακόλουθες κατηγορίες:

  • Πρόβλεψη καιρού και κλίματος
    • NWP: Μετεωρολογία του οριακού στρώματος
    • RCM: Προβολές και επιπτώσεις της κλιματικής αλλαγής, κλιματικά ακρότατα
  •  Συζευγμένα με-τον-καιρό συστήματα:
    • Μοντέλα ποιότητας αέρα: φωτοχημικοί και σωματιδιακοί ρύποι
    • Μοντέλα εκπομπών: βιογενείς εκπομπές, εκπομπές από οδικές μεταφορές
    • Μοντέλα μολυσματικών νοσημάτων: West Nile Virus, SARS-CoV-2
    • Μοντέλα γεωργικά: εξατμισοδιαπνοή, άρδευση ακριβείας
